Rolex is the most liquid watch brand in South Africa, and the one we are asked about most often. Steel sports models, two-tone Datejusts and solid gold dress references all have a strong local resale market, which means we can usually put a firm number in front of you the same day you send us photos.
What we look at
We look at the reference and serial numbers, the dial and bezel condition, whether the bracelet has stretched, and whether the movement has been serviced recently. Box and papers lift the offer, but plenty of the Rolexes we buy arrive with neither and still fetch a strong price.

Do you buy Rolex watches without box and papers?
Yes. A full set is worth more, but a genuine Rolex on its own is still very saleable and we buy them every week.
Will a scratched or non-running Rolex still sell?
It will. Servicing and refinishing are routine costs we account for in the offer rather than reasons to walk away.
